Somidee: A personal brand site with its own studio behind it

A website, content management system, blog and AI writing studio for Somidee, a brand strategist working with growing companies, all run from one private dashboard.

Somidee is a brand strategist and execution partner who has worked with more than 100 brands over eight years. His positioning is precise: most brands do not have a visibility problem, they have a clarity problem, and he brings both the strategy and the hands to fix it.

A portfolio page would not be enough. His services, awards and testimonials change often and should not need a developer each time. LinkedIn is central to how he builds his audience, and writing there consistently takes hours every week. And a standard single-page app shows search engines and link previews the same generic page for every link.

He needed a site that sold the positioning, could be updated in minutes, and helped him publish consistently without hiring a content team.

What we built

We built a React website backed by Supabase with a private admin for every piece of content, a Markdown blog with moderated comments, and an AI studio that drafts LinkedIn posts in his voice. Netlify edge functions make every page readable by search engines and link previews.

Inside the build

  • Private admin for everything: 12 panels cover projects, services, gallery, testimonials, awards, certifications, education, experience, bio, images, blog posts and comment moderation.
  • Markdown blog with moderated comments: Posts have drafts, featured flags and cover images. Anyone can comment, but comments stay hidden until approved, enforced by the database rather than the page.
  • AI LinkedIn studio: Generates several distinct drafts on a topic or rewrites a draft, using his positioning and reference posts so the output sounds like a founder-operator, not generic thought leadership.
  • Prerendered for search and sharing: Links shared on LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp and Slack show the right title and image, and search engines see real content on every URL, including new blog posts.
  • Privacy-friendly analytics: Plausible runs through his own domain so fewer visits are lost to ad blockers, and every "Book a call" click to Calendly is tracked as a conversion. Admin and studio pages are excluded.
  • Fast by default: Every page except the homepage loads on demand, visitors never download the admin or studio code, hashed assets are cached for a year, and a light and dark theme is one tap away.
